Practical Inborn Errors of Metabolism in Daily Practice
Inborn errors of metabolism occur in 1 out of every 1,500 births, which are rare genetic (inherited) disorders in which the body cannot properly turn food into energy.
Inborn errors of metabolism are primarily associated with the improper digestion of food items and defects in the storage of carbohydrates, fatty acids, and proteins, leading to abnormal accumulation of metabolites and reduced production of energy. In this Workshop online, the participants will learn the practice essentials how to detect with appropriate diagnosis and manage the problems.
