ASSESSMENT OF NUTRITION PROBLEMS IN PRETERM INFANTS COURSE

Monitoring nutritional status is required to detect nutritional deficits early and to guide nutrition support in premature babies. Thus, nutritional assessment should be an essential skill of pediatricians caring for preterm infants. This pediatric nutrition course will deliver intensive review for the assessment of nutritional problems in preterm infants, includes the tools for the nutritional assessment of preterm infants in a practical approach, focusing on measurements with Fenton and 21st Intergrowth. Accuracy and reference values for each indicator are revisited intensively with appropriate techniques and instrumentation.
